Employee Benefits Manager Certification

Employee Benefits Compliance Does Not Stop at Open Enrollment

Approved for HRCI and SHRM recertification credits
Employee benefits involve far more than selecting plans and enrolling employees. ERISA responsibilities, ACA requirements, COBRA notices, HIPAA privacy, tax-advantaged accounts, retirement plans, disability benefits, and fringe benefits each come with different administration rules.

This five-session certification helps HR and benefits professionals understand how those requirements fit together and what they need to manage throughout the year. Learn how to administer benefit plans, understand fiduciary responsibilities, handle health and retirement plan requirements, apply current benefit limits and tax rules, and keep up with recent federal changes affecting HSAs, dependent care assistance, and educational assistance.

Course Outcomes

    • Apply core ERISA fiduciary and plan administration responsibilities
    • Understand ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA requirements affecting employee benefit plans
    • Administer HSAs, HRAs, FSAs, and dependent care assistance programs
    • Identify recent federal changes affecting HSA eligibility and educational assistance
    • Manage wellness, voluntary benefit, and disability plan requirements

Could be better

The instructor is very knowledgeable but reads the information and sometimes stumbles over the content and may say a word incorrectly making it say something completely different. This online class is my recertification course. The first time I did it live and it was about the same.
Plus, it goes very fast. No time to absorb the information before he is on to the next subject.
