Training Overview

You need an infection control strategy now. Learn the OSHA Standard Precautions (f/k/a Universal Precautions) to take for bloodborne pathogens.

As monkeypox spreads and COVID-19 case counts increase, bodily fluids are a growing concern. Before they ooze their way to infections, illnesses, and lawsuits this summer, you need to put procedures in place to protect your staff, customers, and other visitors.

OSHA uses Standard Precautions (f/k/a Universal Precautions) that direct workers to treat all human blood and other bodily fluids as if they contain bloodborne pathogens. These microorganisms must be stopped before they cause disease. Exposures to bodily fluids occur across a wide variety of occupations, requiring you to implement an infection control strategy for your workplace.
