Meghanlata Gupta (she/her) is a journalist, historian, and law student from Ann Arbor, Michigan. A citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, she is primarily interested in the intersections of Indigenous history, education, journalism, and law and policy. In addition to working for Bridge Michigan, NBC News, and Wirecutter, she is the founder of Indigenizing the News, a digital platform for Native news and voices. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ethnicity, Race & Migration from Yale University and a master’s degree in US History from the University of Oxford.
